Privacy Policy
Last updated 10 September 2026
This policy explains what Uniroof collects, why, and the control you have. Uniroof is a household organiser, so most of what it holds is information you deliberately put in about your own home and family.
What we collect
- Account details — your email, a hashed password, and your display name.
- Household content you enter — tasks, notes, spaces, contacts, shopping and bills, maintenance plans, people and children’s profiles, vaccination and growth records, occasions, and any photos you upload.
- Notification data — if you turn on reminders, the browser push subscription needed to deliver them.
- Basic technical logs — request metadata and error logs from our hosting providers, used to keep the service running and secure.
We do not run third-party advertising or tracking pixels, and we don’t sell your data.
Why we use it
To provide the app: sign you in, sync your household across devices, send the reminders you asked for, deliver invitation emails, and diagnose problems. That’s the whole list.
Who can see it
Members of your household can see shared content, as described in the Terms. Private work spaces are visible only to their owner. Our infrastructure providers process data on our behalf under contract:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage (hosted in Singapore).
- Vercel — application hosting.
- Resend — sending invitation and account emails.
We disclose data otherwise only if the law requires it.
Where it’s stored
Your household data is stored in the Supabase Asia-Pacific (Singapore) region. Email delivery and hosting may process limited data in other regions.
How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as your account and household exist. When you delete your household or account, the associated content is removed from the live database; residual copies in encrypted backups age out on our provider’s rolling schedule (typically within 30 days).
Your choices
- Access & portability — export everything you can see as JSON from Settings → Data & privacy.
- Correction — edit any record directly in the app.
- Deletion — remove individual items, leave a household, or delete your account. Email us if you need help.
- Reminders — turn push notifications on or off in Settings.
Children’s information
Uniroof has a children module so a parent or guardian can track their own child’s vaccinations, growth, and milestones. That information is entered and controlled by the adults in the household. Uniroof is not directed at children as independent users and we don’t knowingly let a child create their own account.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Access between households is enforced at the database level (row-level security), not just in the app. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and will notify affected users of a breach as required by law.
Changes
We’ll update the date above for any change and flag material ones in the app.
